The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), formerly the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (RBA), Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry or industries in which electronics is a key component and its supply chains are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.
The RBA Code of Conduct is a code which “provides guidelines for performance and compliance with critical CSR policies” and covers five main areas, i.e., Labor, Health and Safety, Environment, Supply Chain Management and Business Ethics. The goal is to improve conditions in the electronics supply chain. Development of the Code was a multi-stakeholder effort, influenced by internationally-recognised standards.
