TSY In House Training #663: Responsible Minerals Initiatives

TSY In House Training #663: Responsible Minerals Initiatives
Group activities ongoing.

The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is a global, industry-led effort aimed at promoting responsible sourcing practices for minerals. It was established in 2008 by members of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI). The initiative focuses on ensuring that minerals used in products—such as tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (often referred to as 3TG)—are sourced in a way that does not contribute to human rights abuses, conflict financing, or environmental degradation, especially in conflict-affected regions like the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
