Negotiation is a process by which people with conflicting interests discuss proposals and preferences for specific terms of a possible agreement. Negotiation is also a components of conflict management. Negotiators will benefit from a good fundamental understanding of how incompatible concerns among people involved can be diagnosed and managed in organization settings.

In this one-day class, participants will learn what negotiation is and how to get the most from their personal negotiations. Participants will discover their personality style and how to negotiate effectively with other personality styles. Participants will also explore the strategies for negotiating, and how to apply the step-by-step process for success-fully negotiating with other parties.

Ultimately this course serves to enable participants to negotiate confidently both internally with colleagues as well as externally with interested parties who are associated with the organization. It enhances the organizations’ ability to derive the best deal available and ensure that the interest of the organization is always upheld.

The entire module will consist of lectures, interactive workshops with role plays and videos.

With proper training that is very practically orientated, participants will emerge from the workshop convinced they are better equipped to negotiate to get results in their work .

This workshop is specially designed for organization personnel who wish to have a better understanding of the basics for negotiations in both an external and internal dynamic organization environment. These include Procurement staff , Supervisors, Engineers, Technician and Managers.


Training Methodology:

This workshop is highly participatory, based on a combination of interactive short presentation of key concepts and various specially designed experiential learning team activities. This will include role plays, interactive workshops, videos and case studies as may be required.
