Safety can best be managed if everyone at the work place are actively involved in the process. More importantly, those at the work station are those who understands the work processes better. Hence it is important to empower those who are working near to the unsafe act and unsafe condition to make their work place safer and healthier.
This course aims to provide basic knowledge and skills in identifying hazards, and assess risks, using real life work environment. The participants will then work to propose risk control measures, prioritised according to the hierarchy of controls.
This course aims to produce a ready-to-use risk management document for participants to propose to their management.
Course Objectives:
You will learn to:
Identify hazards using cause-and-effect analysis and Ishikawa diagramme
Assess risks using semi-quantitative risk matrix
Identify appropriate risk control based on Hierarchy of Control.

This course is conducted in classroom lectures, case studies, team activities, peer sharing.

Allowed to take photo of their work station and present during the training, if necessary.
